HISTORY
New Hope Christian
Fellowship began as Bethel Christian Fellowship in 1946 under the
leadership of Mrs Dimmer. The people, who met in a small building on the
existing site, had a great desire to serve the community of Sandown and
communicate the Gospel. An extension, added by Pastor Ken Dancer in the
1980s provided kitchen and crèche facilities. The aim of Bethel was to reach
out to and help all ages.
Jonathan and Sandra
Snell arrived to lead the church in 1989 and the vision to serve and
provide for members of the local community continues.
New Hope Christian
Fellowship now represents the merging of Bethel Christian Fellowship in
Sandown and New Life Christian Fellowship in Newport. The base is at Hope House, Fort Street, Sandown.
